About us

The Lansdowne Surgery is a small, friendly and high performing rural practice serving a list of 6,600 patients in the heart of Wiltshire.

Despite our size, we are a busy and forward thinking organisation with an active role in our successful Primary Care Network. Our team contributes to a wide range of shared initiatives, including the Leg Club, Older Persons Team, Physician Associate Programme and First Contact Physiotherapy service. We also deliver all same-day care through a PCN managed, purpose built Urgent Care Centre, widely regarded as the flagship model for urgent primary care in the region.

We are a dynamic, multidisciplinary team who communicate well, support one another and adapt quickly to change. Our clinical workforce includes 4 GPs, 1 ACP, 4 RGNs, 1 Pharmacist, 3 HCAs/Phlebotomists and 2 Physician Associates employed through the PCN AARS scheme following extensive training, mentoring and support through our PCN training program, praised as gold standard by the RCN.

The Lansdowne Surgery is a progressive organisation with a positive, proactive culture. We place great importance on supporting our colleagues both operationally and in their ongoing development and we welcome applicants who will thrive in a team that values initiative, communication and continuous improvement.

* Contribute to maintaining standards required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

4) Teamworking and communication

* Communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues, including shared‑decision‑making and safety‑netting.
* Support a culture of mutual respect, continuous improvement and safe workload management.
