About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Planner & Scheduler to join our UK team, supporting our Adhesives department. This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and supply of raw materials and finished goods to meet business and customer needs.
Reporting directly to the UK Production Planning Manager, you will play a critical part in driving operational excellence, improving processes, and maintaining strong supplier relationships within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Scheduling & Procurement
* Lead bulk raw material and packaging procurement, production planning, and scheduling
* Develop and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimising resources
* Monitor production activity and proactively identify improvements and solutions
* Ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of production plans
Supply Chain & Supplier Management
* Manage supplier relationships and expedite critical raw materials
* Ensure security of supply for key materials
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain continuity
Performance & Continuous Improvement
* Drive improvements in:
* Scheduling adherence (KPI)
* Process efficiency and quality
* Inventory management (DSI, slow movers, excess stock)
* Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through continuous improvement
* Support and drive cultural and behavioural change within production where required
Key Accountabilities
* Customer service performance (On-Time Shipment – OTS)
* Production scheduling adherence
* Supplier performance contribution
* Inventory control (DSI and stock optimisation)
* Vendor collaboration and engagement
About You
Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
* Supply planning (raw materials & packaging)
* Production scheduling
* Inventory management
* Strong knowledge of MRP planning (SAP preferred)
* Proven ability to manage and deliver KPIs
* Intermediate Excel skills (essential)
* Power BI experience (advantageous)
