Overview
Supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in residential and outreach settings, delivering person-centred care that promotes wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
Responsibilities
* Helping with everyday tasks such as personal care, meals, medication and routines
* Supporting people to take part in activities at home and out in the community
* Building trust through calm, consistent support
* Following personalised care plans and working closely with your team
* Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing
* A calm and patient approach, especially during challenging moments
* Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
* Flexibility to work longer shifts and some weekends
* A commitment to completing a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within two years, or attaining the Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care by the relevant date if not already obtained
* Experience in working with vulnerable people in a residential setting
* Must hold a valid British driving licence and be willing to drive for the company
* Solid understanding of vulnerable adults or child development and children’s needs
Qualifications
* Experience in roles supporting vulnerable adults or children in care settings
* Driving licence and willingness to drive for the company
* Commitment to completing Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or already achieved)
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
* Empathy, patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
