* Ensure own work conforms to intended process output in terms of quality and specification
* Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Maintain tractability; material and operations transaction in ERP system

* Completion of acceptance test procedure and record conformity of product
* To set-up and ensure the smooth running of machinery.
* To pack and completed product to the required specification
* Demonstration of industrial sewing skills to a very high standard

* Previous experience on walking foot, needle feed and programmable industrial / commercial sewing machines
* Working with various textile fabrics, webs and threads. Such as rubber coated fire retardant Kevlar; Dyneema webbing; silicon and wire impregnated.
* A basic machine maintenance experience
* To actively participate in daily production tier meetings.
* To liaise effectively with colleagues throughout the business.
* To actively drive to fulfil line management team targets

Specific Skill Requirements
Education
* Educated to a good standard, preferably to GCSE/“O” level in Maths and English or equivalent
Acquired Skills and Experience
* Previous experience of working in a process disciplined manufacturing or assembly environment
* Have previous sewing experienceusing industrial sewing machines either needle feed or walking foot
* Perform general maintenance tasks on sewing machines to ensure their longevity
* Interpretation of engineering drawing
* Basic metrology
* Transactional ERP
An average level of mechanical reasoning to understand the operation of machinery and production processes
If not already conversant with the product range, full training is provided to enable the incumbent to become fully conversant with the Company’s products and procedures (period of up to three months as a norm).
