Job Opportunity: Accountant for a Leading IFA Practice
Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their dynamic finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in producing Self-Assessment tax returns for individuals and companies, Management Accounts, and other financial accounts procedures. Full training and study support will be provided, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Statutory accounts
- Self-assessment tax returns
- Limited Company Tax Returns
- Commission Reconciliation
- Invoicing and Credit Control
- Long lease property administration (preparing accounts, issuing maintenance and ground rent invoices)
- Analyzing and reconciling expenses and receipts
- Producing KPIs for the company and advisers
- Producing documents/KPIs for regulatory returns
- Providing treasurer services to local charities
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience in dealing with Personal Tax. Additionally, candidates should possess the following qualities:
- Highly organized with efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workloads
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience working with Xero is preferred but not essential
