Children’s Home Dual Registered Manager (1 & 2 Bed Homes)

Salary: Up to £56,981.23 + bonuses

My client is looking for an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Dual Registered Manager to oversee two homes in Barnsley—a one-bed and a two-bed home—working with a dedicated small team to deliver outstanding care.
The Role
As a Dual Registered Manager, you will:
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the homes.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, Ofsted requirements, and organisational policies.
* Provide strong, motivational leadership to your team.
* Champion the rights of young people and ensure their physical, emotional, and social development.
* Drive continuous improvement, ensuring homes maintain high standards and positive outcomes.
* Oversee admissions, discharges, rota management, and safeguarding.
* Lead and chair internal and external meetings.
* Participate in an on-call rota and, if necessary, cover shifts including sleep-ins.
What We’re Looking For
* Recognised qualification: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent).
* At least 3 years’ recent experience in residential childcare, including 1 year in staff management.
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding procedures.
* Experience managing teams and achieving good outcomes for young people.
* Excellent communication, report writing, and decision-making skills.
* A full driving licence, manual car, and the ability to participate in on-call duties.
* Enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality care.
