Overview of role
Location - Stevenage (Hertfordshire) 12 month Fixed Term Contract
The role of a Parts Controller will be working closely with the Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) shift teams to make available all required vehicle parts in line with the vehicle maintenance schedule and breakdowns.
Key Accountabilities
• Have control, organise and produce all vehicle parts required in line with company procedures
• Control, organise and review consumable stock levels.
• To accurately process all Fleet administration documentation.
• To help achieve shift KPI’s by ensuring that parts are available for their delivery
• To ensure that established parts supply contractors are effectively utilised, carrying out price comparisons when necessary
• To ensure that best value is achieved through continually reviewing and identifying improvement opportunities for procurement and stock holding functions.
• Engages in the Safety-First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
• To deliver Parts Cotrol to required standards
• Ensure that their own, development and training needs are identified. Participate in the proactive environment of learning (1:1’s)
• To actively participate and contribute in the sharing of “Best Practice” within VMU

Previous Experience of Managing a Stock Controlled Environment
