The Children and Young People's Directorate in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide maternity cover and lead the Mindworks CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team based Surrey wide.
The post-holder will be responsible for planning and delivering a highly specialist Neurodevelopmental service.
The post-holder will have substantial experience working in a children's neurodevelopmental service, assessing neurodevelopmental conditions and leading on service development. They will have a sound understanding and expert knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions in children and young people. They will be committed to inclusive and accessible services. Knowledge and skills in supervision and outcome measures is essential.
The successful candidates will hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and be eligible for registration with the HCPC.
Main duties of the job
* To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care. To maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Trust Policies and Procedures.
* To act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005). To be aware of and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures and legislation.
* To plan and deliver a highly specialist psychology service (in leadership or advanced therapy role) and to oversee its clinical governance.
* To be responsible for the professional leadership and continued development of the neurodevelopmental service
* To contribute to the transformation of the service alongside the new contract, supporting the leadership team where needed to utilise new funding to operationalise the joint alliance vision.
* To lead in the supervision and contribute to Individual Performance Review/Appraisal of psychology staff, as required.
