With a strong reputation for excellence and innovation, we are now seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and secure new projects across South Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and developing strategic relationships across the construction and property sectors. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and work closely with pre-construction and estimating teams to develop competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to grow the M&E division.

Identify, target, and win new business opportunities with main contractors, developers, consultants, and end-clients.

Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry.

Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings across the region.

Collaborate with estimating and design teams to prepare bids and proposals.
*
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within the M&E and wider construction sectors.

Track and report on sales performance, pipeline, and key metrics.
Requirements:

Proven experience in business development within the M&E or construction sector (essential).
*
Strong network of contacts in South Yorkshire and the wider Northern region.
*
Commercial awareness with a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical contracting.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
