About the Role
At Wilsons, we ensure that no-one is better qualified to look after our vehicles. We are seeking the next generation of Technicians who will be trained to manufacturer standards with access to regular support and technical information.
Within the dealership, we utilise the latest diagnostic technology, tools, and best practice processes to provide our customers with the best service or repair. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a full range of vehicles.
Key Duties:
1. Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs.
2. Obtain appropriate authorisation for additional work on a vehicle.
3. Maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles, utilising regular training and support from Renault.
4. Be open to trying new methods to improve efficiency.
5. Service, repair, and perform PDI on new and used vehicles.
6. Adhere to the 'fixed first visit' approach.
7. Diagnose standard faults with excellent working methods and standards.
8. Carry out repairs to safety, MOT, manufacturer, and warranty standards.
9. Report faults and service requirements to the Workshop Controller.
10. Utilise your technical knowledge and skills effectively.
11. Work independently in a busy environment, interpreting and implementing technical information.
12. Apply learning and experience in fault diagnosis.

1. Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and customers.
2. Passion for the industry and commitment to developing your technical skills.
3. Customer-focused, prioritising customer experience and safety during services or repairs.
4. Team player, assisting colleagues and taking ownership of safety issues.
5. Thorough and capable of working within defined processes and guidelines.
6. Quality-focused with a first-time fix mentality.
7. Honest with high integrity.
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum DOE plus a time-saving BONUS. OTE £30,000 per annum*
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on a rota basis.
