Site Security Manager Cheadle - site-based role As the Site Security Manager you are accountable / responsible for the daily security operations on the Thales Cheadle UK Site and are the Facility Security Controller (FSC). You will provide an effective and efficient security service to all the Thales businesses and functions on site to ensure compliance with relevant national, Group and UK security policies and procedures. Key responsibilities Managing efficient and effective co-ordination and execution of the site security operation in the areas of physical, material, document, personnel and information security, ensuring Facility Security Clearance (FSC) is maintained / managed along as being site POC for engagements with accreditors. Implementing policies and processes in accordance with corporate governance in relation to security as defined in Chorus referential system Attending site management meetings Assisting with site internal and external audits Creation, implementation and maintenance of Site Security Plan (SSP) Maintaining the site security risk register Managing the correct issuing, storage, mustering and destruction of classified assets Providing advice to site management, PSO's, IAOs and employees on security matters Providing advice to Site Security Contacts (SSC) Security Grading Guides (SGG) in addition to SAL's F1686 process - approval of UK S sub-contractors or overseas collaboration/sub-contacts. Act as point of contact for incoming and outgoing IVCO notifications for government to government visit requests and letter of Intent (LOI) approvals. Working closely with 3rd party service providers as jointly agreed by Thales in the scope of work paper in respect of the implementation of the manned guarding contract. Maintaining Thales site accreditation and/or relevant HMG accreditations Communicate information management and security awareness campaigns to all employees and contracted staff. Liaison with customer / sub-contractor security organisations to advise on the correct and secure conduct of all contracts Interface with appropriate Thales project managers together with customer and sub-contractor counterparts so that security aspects of projects are identified and correct procedures are put in place and complied with as applicable: ISO27001:2013 Security Aspects Letters (SAL) The HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF) Corporate Security Policies (Chorus) UK Law and Legislation NPSA Standards and Specifications If MOD - appropriate Joint Service Publications (JSP) such as JSP 440 Support Information Asset Owners (IAO`s) where necessary to identify and if necessary treat any perceived or real risk. Promote awareness of the latest HMG and company security requirements and implementation as necessary Report all suspected security breaches and if required, carry out thorough investigations of any suspected security breaches making recommendations for appropriate actions Provide advice and guidance to the business to protect Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Company, customer and third party information and assets. To act as Crypto custodian if applicable. Lead on internal assurance activities and ensure KPI / Metrics are developed, captured and reported on within agreed timescales. Organise and lead local working groups and run security exercise Table top and live exercises using internal / external resources. Conduct any other security / security project task as directed by the Head of UK Security Operations About you Ideally, you'll: Be able to demonstrate relevant experience working in a similar security related role/environment OR have an interest in developing your career in this area Have knowledge and understanding of List X(FSC) and the UK MoD cryptographic procedures. Experience working as a Crypto Custodian/Alternate or possess equivalent certification/qualification in Security. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
