An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Connect service for a full time Connect Response Officer to join our Connect 24/7 emergency monitoring and response service.
You will become part of an ambitious team delivering an invaluable service to the residents of Middlesbrough.
Connect is a Middlesbrough Council service which delivers Community Alarm services and Telecare services to people across Middlesbrough. We offer help and support to older, vulnerable, and disabled people to help them to remain safe and independent in their own home.
You will install essential equipment and provide services required to enable a safe and speedy discharge and to help people maintain their independence within their home. You will provide a high standard of person-centred care when responding to emergency situations.
You will be trained in emergency first aid, moving and handling and the use of all lifting equipment. You will assess the service user's needs, offer support, and then decide on the most appropriate action to be taken.
In this role, good communication skills are vital, also responding with empathy is important as well as providing the reassurance the service user needs.
To be successful in this role you need:
* A Full UK Driving License.
* A Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
Please note this is a fixed term post due on 01.06.2027.
