Prospero Teaching have exciting opportunities for Art Therapy Tutors to work with young people in the Bridport area. If you have a passion for art and experience supporting learners with additional needs, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role:
You will deliver engaging, creative sessions to young people who may have additional needs such as:
1. SEN (Special Educational Needs)
2. SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
3. Trauma
4. At risk of PEX (Permanent Exclusion)
Your work will make a real difference, helping learners build confidence and develop skills through art-based approaches.
About you:
5. At least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as Tutor, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, ELSA, 1:1 support, Art Teacher, Art Therapist, Counsellor and so on.
6. A background in art, art therapy, or related fields
7. Experience working with learners with additional needs
As a Tutor, You Will:
8. Plan and deliver tailored art-based sessions to meet individual learning needs
9. Support emotional well-being and encourage positive engagement
10. Work 1:1 or in small groups with learners who may have complex needs
11. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and creative learning environment

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
12. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
13. Hold right to work in the UK
14. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
15. Provide references upon request
16. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
