Part Time PracticeNurse with Respiratory preferred and/or Diabetes
We are looking fora committed, motivated Practice Nurse to join our experienced and friendly establishedexpanding nursing team at Redwood House Surgery.
You will have acaring nature and a proactive professional manner to provide a high standard ofnursing care.
Duties will includepractice nurse treatment room services and management of chronic healthconditions working from a large Nurse Room.
We look after andappreciate our Nursing team, you are further supported by the GPsand experienced admin and reception team.
Respiratory/Diabetes qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job
Management of Respiratory conditions including Asthma and COPD.
Management of Diabetic patients if qualified; however, training will be supported for the right candidate in areas of personal interest for development.
Therole involves meeting the nursing needs of the patients, to include woundcare, dressings, leg ulcer care, earsyringing, ECGs, phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, childhood and adult immunisationsincluding Depo-Provera, INR, assisting GPs in family planning, cervicalcytology, asthma and COPD clinics and travel health planning services.
Otherresponsibilities include keeping accurate records, working within agreedguidelines including Infection control,, appropriate administrative tasks, attendance and participation inpractice and team meetings, as appropriate and carrying out additional clinicalactivities
Adhere to Practice guidelines,policies and procedures and infection control standards.
Ensure that organisational goals arereflected in own and the nursing teams objectives. Continue to developprofessional and attend training courses and meetings.
Contribute to the development of thePractice policies and strategies, where appropriate.
Maintain own professional andpersonal development in accordance with the NMCCode standards and professional guidelines
This role willalso require you to work as part of the whole practice team and will includecovering work for colleague absence.
