Primary Teacher Role in Sunderland - September 2024
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Teacher to work in one of our fantastic Primary Schools in Sunderland on a full-time, long-term basis starting September 2024. Applications from ECTs are welcome, and there will be opportunities to complete part of the ECT qualification while in the role.
The role involves planning and delivering lessons to full classes with the support of Teaching Assistants. A key aspect is differentiating lessons appropriately and working effectively with staff to ensure all pupils make progress and are taught in a manner suited to their individual needs and learning styles. Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils and promote progress.
2. Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to foster excellent learning environments.
3. Managing challenging behaviour positively, proactively, and consistently.
4. Differentiating lessons to meet diverse needs and learning styles.
5. Using varied assessment methods to monitor pupil progress.
6. Demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with children.
7. Collaborating effectively with Teaching Assistants to enhance educational experiences.
Requirements:
* An Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service; we can process a new one if needed).
* QTS and primary teaching experience.
* Experience in short, medium, and long-term planning.
* Proficiency in assessing pupil progress using different methods.
* Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
* Excellent relationship-building skills and rapport development.
* A positive, resilient attitude towards teaching and work.
* Experience teaching within the UK.
* A genuine passion for teaching.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
