Our Client based in the Luton area are looking to recruit a Production Planner / Electrical Production Planner on a 6 Month Contract.
Job Summary
Plan production schedules and capacity to maximise revenue to meet customer demands, and ensure OTTR/OTTC targets, while supporting supply chain operations.
Job Responsibilities
Supporting the business to maximise revenue & planning the work efficiently by maintaining a current view of customer orders, plant capacity and inventory. Help to drive OTTR/OTTC within the plant to ensure we hit targets.
Convert MRP generated planned orders to production orders into SAP taking into consideration material availability and capacity resulting in the best fit for customer requests.
Monitor and react to daily MRP expectations within the constraints of material and capacity availability.
Co-ordinate modifications to product ensuring Bills of material (B.O.M) or inventory transactions reflect any changes to product
Participate in continuous improvement meetings in order to identify and implement changes that will benefit the performance of the business.
Track Production orders and identify possible material supply problems effecting customers, and ensuring all stakeholders and notified. Liaise with sales giving accurate delivery dates and feedback and feedback on potential delays.
Support plant projects and new product introduction including planning for validation builds
Creating a production schedule:
Estimating the budget, cost and quantity of materials, human labour and other tools necessary for the completion of the project. Streamlining processes so that production can meet deadlines. Communicating with other departments regarding production schedules and any possible changes. Applying knowledge of maths and statistics to real-world scenarios and using computer technology relating to enterprise resource planning (ERP)
Planning, Scheduling and coordinating production of the company's products
Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
Reporting on the Production status and any production issues to upper management
Handling Production disruptions and productivity problems
Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
Qualifications
Experience within planning/Production/SCM/SAP, Microsoft Office
Planning adherence, OTTR. Monthly Revenue Targets
