Overview
The Program of Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) is hiring a Clinical Instructor.
Responsibilities
* Cooperates with the Program Coordinator and/or Primary Instructor in scheduling clinical experiences for students.
* Supervises small groups of no more than 12 nursing assistant students paired with facility CNAs in the clinical setting, with administration of each clinical site dictating the number of students.
* Remains on premises and available to students at all times.
* Has no facility-related responsibilities.
* Actively seeks opportunities for students to perform learned skills.
* Provides guidance and constructive feedback to students.
* Maintains student rolls, including a sign-in and out sheet with exact times.
* May occasionally substitute for the classroom instructor upon notification of UNAR.
* Provides feedback regarding student readiness for clinical experience, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
* Performs other related duties as requested by the Program Coordinator, Primary Instructor, and Director of the UNAR.
Qualifications
* Must be a licensed nurse with at least two years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care or caring for the elderly or chronically ill.
* Must be a reasonable candidate for approval by UNAR, which requires completion of UNAR Instructor approval packet, licensure in good standing, and a detailed resume showing relevant experience.
* Must have completed a UNAR-approved "Train the Trainer" program or demonstrate competence in teaching adult learners or supervising nursing assistants.
* Fingerprinting and background check required.
Reports to: Program Coordinator, Primary Instructor, and Director of the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry.

$35 per hour

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and contaminants, but may experience temperature changes. Regularly required to sit and perform repetitive hand motions.
