Job Description
Ambassadors Resourcing is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for day-to-day work, when required for a lovely day nursery setting in Solihull. The role includes working across the rooms, supporting babies and children, 0-5 years.
* The successful Nursery Practitioner will show a passion for working with children in the Early Years and understand the importance of meeting every child’s individual needs and interests by effectively planning and observing and tailoring activities accordingly.
* Have sound knowledge of the EYFS.
* Promote and nurture the children’s development of creativity, individuality and self confidence.
* Contribute to a safe, clean, inspiring and inclusive environment.
* Engage in excellent communication with the team and parents/carers.
* Actively promote & support the safeguarding of all children, ensuring that the policies and procedures of the day nurseries and Ambassadors Resourcing are observed and their responsibilities are understood.
Requirements
* The successful Nursery Practitioner must have Level 3 in Child Care and Education or the equivalent.
* A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or the equivalent in English.
* A current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
* The ability to speak fluent English, as this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
* An enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a legal right to work in the country.
* Two acceptable reference checks from previous employers, including from a childcare & education setting, or educational institutions from the last 2 years.
* An in-person interview which will include questions about safeguarding and the candidate’s understanding of working with children.
* Shortlisted candidates will be subject to Check a Teacher’s Record & an online search as part of Ambassadors Resourcing Safer Recruitment checks.
* Please note that this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exemptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
* Candidates are required to complete a self-declaration form prior to interview.
