Whether you are helping a student settle in for the year or welcoming a hotel guest for one night, delivering exceptional service is at the heart of what we do.
We are looking for a confident and dependable Front of House (Nights) team member to join us on a permanent basis. Working at our busy reception, you will be the first point of contact between 8pm and 8am, supporting residents, guests and the wider team to keep everything running smoothly through the night.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the first point of contact for residents, guests and visitors during night hours
2. Respond to enquiries in a professional, friendly and timely manner in person, over the phone or via email
3. Maintain building security by completing regular checks and managing access control
4. Support residents with maintenance requests, parcel collections and general assistance
5. Process late arrivals and early check outs as required
6. Manage payments, bookings and records in line with company policies
7. Carry out nightly housekeeping tasks, including ensuring communal areas are clean, tidy and presentable, replenishing supplies and addressing any urgent cleaning needs
8. Assist with events and social activities for residents, including those scheduled during evenings or overnight
9. Support with the Space Store, including replenishment of stock, maintaining correct displays and ensuring all safety compliance checks are completed
10. Monitor and respond to incidents, following company procedures and ensuring safety at all times
11. Support hotel style operations in summer, including guest arrivals, departures and service delivery
What We Are Looking For
12. Strong customer focus and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
13. Proactive, organised and comfortable managing lone working
14. Calm under pressure and able to make decisions in challenging situations
15. Confident dealing with a wide variety of issues, from routine enquiries to emergencies
16. Experience in hospitality, reception or customer service (experience in student accommodation is an advantage but not essential)
17. Flexible and willing to adapt to the seasonal variation of the role
Important Information
This is a lone working role during night hours. You will sometimes deal with sensitive or challenging situations, including incidents relating to wellbeing, anti social behaviour or emergencies.
