We’re seeking a Senior Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer who excels in automation, infrastructure as code, and improving software delivery processes. This role focuses on GitLab CI/CD, Windows image creation for physical or virtualized environments, and Terraform‑based infrastructure management.
The Senior Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer will be based at our Bristol site. Flexible working is available with office visits on an as‑required basis. Salary is up to £65k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Manage the self‑hosted GitLab environment, design, maintain and optimise GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment workflows, and upgrade the platform.
* Maintain code and Docker repositories.
* Identify opportunities for Terraform automation and implement to ensure consistency and repeatability.
* Build secure‑by‑design Windows images for products across our Maritime and Underwater Battlespace departments, using appropriate technologies to guarantee security, consistency and reliability.
* Apply DevSecOps principles and collaborate with the Infrastructure Lead and Information Assurance & Security Lead to meet customer security requirements.

The skills you need
* Strong hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD
* Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining Windows images
* Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
