Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
This is a new purpose-built service for 5 individuals requiring Advanced Support Workers with experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Support involves following support plans, maintaining routine and consistency, with 24-hour support initially, transitioning to sleepovers or smart tech as individuals settle. Shift patterns are likely to be 10pm to 7am, with potential for longer or shorter shifts over time. Activities include walking, cycling, arts and crafts, baking, shopping, outings, cinema, pool, music, and more. We seek Advanced Support Bank Workers who:
* Have a Level 3 in Social Care and experience with mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health, or relevant social care experience.
* Connect well with people and are passionate about supporting independence.
* Are willing to develop skills through training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.
