An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive procurement professional to take ownership of supplier relationships and play a key role in supporting business operations.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services. Working closely with internal teams, you will help drive efficiency, maintain supplier performance, and support overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements
* Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery or quality issues
* Proactively expedite orders to ensure continuity of supply
* Support cost reduction initiatives through negotiation and supplier benchmarking
* Work cross-functionally to ensure effective coordination across departments
* Ensure accurate data management within internal systems
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a Buyer / Purchasing role
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Experience working with ERP or similar systems
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
