We are currently forward planning for future roles that may become available as a Team Leader based at Stratford Station. If you are successful in your application, you will be placed in our Talent Bank for up to six months. If a suitable opportunity becomes available during that time, you may be offered a role.

Positions may be available as Static or Relief roles, on either a full-time or part-time basis. Static role soffer a consistent shift pattern, giving you visibility of your shifts for the full year. Relief roles provide flexibility, with weekly rosters issued one week before the shift.

Role Details
* You will be working an average of 35 hours per week.This role is shift-based and includes early starts, late finishes, nights, weekends, and bank holiday working.Earliest shift times will start at 0600 am, lates shifts finish by 2230pm and Night Shifts vary between 1900pm and 0600am.
* You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts.
* Applicants must be over 18 years of age
* This role includes a compulsory 5-day Dispatch training course at our Stratford Academy, followed by a final assessment.
* The successful applicant will be required to attend a medical, as all offers are subject to passing a safety critical medical.

The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering effective customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer experience at our station. You will be responsible for managing a team of dispatchers and leading them in matters regarding, safety, security, safe and punctual dispatch of trains, and work in accordance of the rule book and operational standards. Full training and a uniform are provided upon joining.



Key Responsibilities

* Create a welcoming environment while providing pro-active assistance to customers on and off trains.
* Maintain and feel comfortable providing top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
* Able to safely operate customer access ramps and assist passengers with their luggage.
* Providing support to mobility/ visually impaired customers, who may need to hold your arm or lean on you for guidance and assisting them when boarding or alighting from the train
* Collaborate with Drivers and Conductors to ensure smooth communication and service.
* Comply with safety regulations, reporting faults and hazards as necessary, as you will be responsible for the safe and punctual dispatch of trains.
* Collaborate with other areas of the business when required to ensure operational efficiency, whilst providing support and assistance to customers during disruption.
* You will be responsible for maintaining security of the station premises at all times and carry out winter precautions as per station requirements.

With a team of around 3,000 colleagues, we operate 134 stations throughout Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Greater Anglia also operate Stansted Express services between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport.

Roles on the railway are very varied with everything possible from train driving, customer service, being involved with engineering, working in our control room or being part of the HR, finance, marketing, safety, train planning, or communications teams.
