We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join the community IV Team.The post-holder is responsible for providing the ongoing nursing care for patients requiring Intravenous (IV) therapy and supporting the virtual ward in the community.
The post-holder will carry out all forms of clinical care associated with IV therapy and assessment of care needs including the individual development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and in clinic settings.
You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, be prepared to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service and demonstrate a willingness to extend and develop your existing skills. In return, we will offer you development opportunities, clinical supervision and mentorship support and deliver a formal induction programme.
This role falls under the Government mandatory requirement of vaccination against coronavirus. Unless you are medically exempt, the Trust will be required to ensure that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. To be considered for this role you must be able to evidence that you have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccination or that you are medically exempt.

Qualifications & Education
* First level registered Nurse
* Evidence of undertaking a recognised course of study in teaching and assessing, or mentorship
* Educated to degree level or demonstrate experience of operating at this level
* Evidence of professional development and regular study since qualification
* Evidence of Independent Nurse Prescribing Qualification (V300)
Knowledge and Training
* Evidence of completion of recognised IV administration programme and associated competencies
* Evidence of completion of a development programme
* Evidence of current competence in Intravenous Therapy administration
* Knowledge of effective people management practices
