Role Summary:
Carbonica is a new initiative to capture and measure the full life-cycle assessment of carbon usage in building projects, from estimation to actual as-built usage.
The role holder will support the development and management of the Carbonica product, helping to define features and deliver exceptional user experiences for contractors and sub-contractors, aligned with the product strategy and business objectives. This includes working on the launch of a new SaaS product, built from the ground up, referencing an existing MVP and industry standards. The role involves close collaboration with the CTO, Product Manager, and cross-functional teams including engineering and design to prioritize the product backlog, launch new features, and ensure the platform meets customer needs and drives commercial value.
Job Responsibilities:
Product Owner – Carbonica
1. Own the backlog for all Carbonica features, including workflows and transaction flows, working closely with the Product Manager.
2. Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, user feedback, and analytics.
3. Translate high-level business goals into detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, communicating these to engineering ahead of each sprint cycle.
4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive, user-centric product experiences.
5. Work with engineering teams in Agile sprints to deliver high-quality features on time.
6. Monitor performance of features during QA and business testing/launch, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
Problem Resolution
1. Maintain and report on progress, acting as the first point of contact for engineering regarding new features.
2. Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner, proposing potential solutions when possible.
Design and User Experience
1. Work with the Design and User Experience Research (UXR) team to deliver a best-in-class user experience.
2. Specify and document briefs to Designers and UX Researchers.
3. Manage the output from UXR and Design into engineering.

Experience & Qualifications
* High-quality degree or equivalent work experience
* 3+ years’ experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, preferably in a SaaS environment
* Experience working with Agile teams and tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Figma
* Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problems
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on product analytics
* Experience with Bill of Quantities, Bill of Materials, BIM models, building estimation tools, and technologies
