Could this be your most rewarding role yet?
Become a Lleol (local) Foster Carer with Flintshire County Council
Annual Fee: GBP50,000 + up to GBP13,453.96 in Weekly Allowances
You've built a career supporting others, but have you ever thought about doing it from your own home and truly changing a life forever?
We're looking for people with passion, patience, and experience to take the next step — not just into another job, but into a whole new way of making a difference.
This is fostering — but not as you know it. This is Lleol Fostering.
Lleol means 'local' in Welsh, and maintaining locality is hugely important in fostering. There are children and young people in and around the Flintshire area who need more than just a traditional fostering placement. They need time, patience, expertise — and above all, someone who will believe in them and fight their corner.
We are seeking extraordinary individuals to join us as Lleol Foster Carers, including those who have experience as Young Engagement Officers, building trusted relationships with young people and empowering them to have a voice in the services affecting their lives. If you've supported youth involvement, co-produced programmes, or worked on outreach projects to boost confidence and participation, your ability to connect and advocate could help a young person thrive in a stable, therapeutic home.
What makes Lleol Foster Carers different?
This is a specialist fostering role supporting young people transitioning from high-support settings like residential care to family life, ensuring a smooth transition.
We provide a therapeutic approach to professional parenting, offering full training, exceptional support, and a team walking alongside you every step of the way.
