About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experiencedRegistered Managerto lead the operational delivery of anewly opened childrens residential homefor young people withEmotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)andcomplex needs.
As theOfsted Registered Manager, youll be responsible for ensuring that the home provides a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment where every young person can reach their full potential. Youll lead your team with empathy, structure, and vision creating a culture that promotes stability, growth, and outstanding care.
The home has recently received aGood Ofsted rating, and this is an opportunity to take it to the next level of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational management of the home as theOfsted Registered Manager.
* Ensure full compliance withChildrens Homes Regulations (2015)andOfsted inspection standards.
* Create and sustain achild-centred culturefocused on safety, development, and emotional wellbeing.
* Recruit, manage, and develop staff through effective rotas, supervisions, and training.
* Overseesafeguarding,health & safety,education liaison, andcare planning.
* Manage budgets, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain confidentiality and data protection.
* Participate in the24/7 on-call rotato provide responsive leadership and support.
Requirements
?NVQ Level 3 minimumand/orLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare(or working towards).
? Eligible to register withOfstedas a Registered Manager.
? Strong working knowledge ofChildrens Homes Regulations,Quality Standards, andOfsted frameworks.
? Experience managing a childrens residential home or similar care setting.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
? Confident in managing safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance.
? IT literate and capable of handling occasional manual handling duties.
?Full UK driving licence(desirable).
