Our client is an independent salmon farming business. Currently looking for a skilled and dependable Industrial Electrician to join their well established Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems across their food processing facility and remote salmon farming sites. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same—ideal for someone who’s flexible, safety-focused, and enjoys a mix of factory and field-based work.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns at both factory and farm locations

Install and maintain electrical systems and components such as motors, control panels, lighting, pumps, drives, and PLCs
*
Quickly diagnose faults to minimise disruption to production
*
Adhere to all relevant health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards
*
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records
*
Support capital projects and improvements in electrical systems
*
Travel to off-site salmon farms as required (travel and accommodation covered)
*
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours breakdowns
What We’re Looking For
*
Fully qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
*
Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work
*
Strong commitment to health and safety, including Lockout/Tagout and HACCP procedures
*
Confident interpreting technical schematics and wiring diagrams
*
Experience with PLCs, control systems, and variable speed drives is a strong plus
*
Full UK driving licence (or equivalent)
Nice to Have
*
Basic mechanical knowledge or multi-skilled experience
