A leading innovator of subsea electronics is looking to expand their team! They are seeking an Electronics Test Engineer/Technician to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The role involves the manufacture, repair, and testing of electronic PCB’s, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. This role will suit a time served test engineer/technician with a strong electronics fault-finding bias.
As Electronics Test Engineer/Technician you will be responsible for:
Bench testing of PCB’s to supplied documentation and upkeep of test records for all products.
Fault finding on complex PCB’s, to component level. This includes rework of PCB assemblies when required.
Use of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
Conducting Environmental Chamber testing and pressure testing of the PCB/assemblies.
Performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs) of company products which includes electro/hydraulic system testing.
Repair of client returned PCB’s including producing a report of time and costing.
Upkeep of calibration and test records.
May occasionally visit various sites to assist clients/suppliers with specific requirements.
Best practice in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015, quality management system.
To be eligible for this Electronics Test Engineer/Technician role you need:
A recognised qualification in Electronic Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret Electronic Circuit Diagrams.
Previous experience in soldering, PCB assembly & SMT rework.
Experience in circuit building, fault finding, and repair.
Ability to operate a wide range of electronic test equipment e.g., oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and digital multimeters.
Ideally trained and certified to IPC standards but not essential, since training will be provided for the right candidate.
