Wondering what it's like to work within offender healthcare? "Working in the prison service can seem scary at first, but you'll have support from your team to make a difference every day. I see the prison as an individual community where I work with a variety of people and provide urgent care, routine health screens, and complex needs care. I have the opportunity to support someone throughout their time in prison and make a significant difference to their lives. I see them grow, change, and improve their health," says Ellen, Clinical Lead, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust offers a wide range of healthcare services across community and secure environments, including mental health, learning disability care, and community health services. We operate over 125 sites across the South of England, including hospitals, clinics, prisons, and community settings. Our purpose is to improve lives by providing the best care possible, guided by our values: We're Kind, We're Listening, and We Care.
