Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant Location: Sunderland Contract Type: Long Term Temporary Leader Education are recruiting a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving SEND Secondary School supporting young people aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs. This warm and welcoming academy supports approximately 200 pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex medical needs and a number of pupils with Autism. The school is deeply committed to meeting the individual academic, social, and emotional needs of every young person and their families. The academy offers outstanding facilities including a therapy pool and sensory room, enabling staff to deliver a rich, engaging, and inclusive learning experience. Supported by a highly committed and collaborative staff team, pupils benefit from a relevant, progressive and challenging curriculum designed to maximise independence, confidence, and life skills. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position given a successful trial.
