This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for an experienced education professional with strong learning support and administrative leadership skills to make a meaningful impact within a custodial setting.
The Role:
As Deputy Education Manager, you will support the Education Manager in the day-to-day running of the education department, ensuring high-quality learning provision and effective administrative systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the management and coordination of education and training provision within the prison

Overseeing learner records, timetabling, attendance, and compliance documentation
*
Providing administrative and operational support to teaching and support staff
*
Monitoring learner progress and supporting quality assurance processes
*
Liaising with prison staff, external agencies, and education partners
*
Supporting staff performance, CPD coordination, and cover arrangements
*
Ensuring education provision meets Ofsted, funding, and safeguarding requirements
The Ideal Candidate:

Has experience in education management, deputy management, or senior admin roles
*
Demonstrates strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
*
Has experience working with adult learners, SEND, or challenging educational settings (desirable)
*
Is confident managing data, compliance, and quality processes
*
Shows resilience, professionalism, and a commitment to rehabilitation through education
*
Holds a teaching, education management, or related qualification (desirable)
