Calderdale Sports Services operate Leisure facilities in Halifax, Todmorden, Brighouse and Sowerby Bridge.
Shifts will be set between the operating hours or 5.30am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday and Weekends work between 7am and 6pm. In particular we are looking for two people for each facility who are available to work between 5:30am & 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
You will assist in the efficient and safe operation of the facility, always providing a high level of customer service. You need to be attentive to the needs of the customer, confident and possess good communication skills.
We are looking for staff to cover holiday and sickness of permanent staff and spare shifts that are available when staff perform other roles within the Centre. Customer service is at the heart of the business. Duties include lifeguarding the pool, set up equipment general cleaning of the facility. Supervision of the gym and other centre activities and verbal interaction with the public.
The RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Gen 10) is essential, experience of working in a similar environment / customer service industry is an advantage.
If successful candidates will need to be available 4:00 – 7:00pm on October the 21st to attend a Calderdale Council, Sports Services Core Induction.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
