Qualified Adult Social Worker
Mental Wellbeing Team
Location: South Wales
Pay rate: £37 per hour
Our client is seeking qualified Adult Social Workers to join the Adult Services team within the Mental Wellbeing Team. In this role, you will uphold and champion best practices. You will manage a caseload of approximately 20 to 25 service users and their carers. You should be able to travel to the local authority and other counties as needed to undertake assessments, reviews, and care plans. Knowledge and use of SSWBA and MCA are essential, and familiarity with the court of protection process is advantageous. The role involves working with adults with mental health issues and within dementia services.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. You will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet their needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes of your interventions. Striving for best practices, you will aim to provide the best outcomes for individuals and families. Your passion for supporting vulnerable populations and ensuring their safety and well-being is paramount.
Ideal candidate:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
* Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or similar statutory or voluntary agency.
* Dedicated to continuous improvement and providing excellent outcomes.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Experience working with diverse client groups within an agency.
* Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Committed to delivering high-quality services.
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation.
* At least 4 years of qualified experience.
Role responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments of risks, protection needs, and social care requirements.
* Managing an agreed caseload.
* Utilizing specialist communication skills to achieve positive outcomes.
* Developing individual care plans that respect diversity and promote dignity and empowerment.
* Providing advice and support to unqualified staff and students.
