Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for supporting the Engagement Lead with the delivery and management of employee engagement actions and interventions to enable the business to engage with our people at every level of the organisation in order to build trust, understanding and commitment to TfL and improve culture to support delivery of TfL strategic activities and priorities. The role holder is responsible for the delivery of innovative, best practice employee engagement survey activities to aid effective decision-making, drive employee engagement and improve overall business performance using insights and feedback.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the Engagement Lead in implementing a TfL Engagement Strategy in response to business needs and the wider TfL Strategy. This includes sharing engagement best practice with colleagues across the business and monitoring the external culture & engagement landscape to inform internal practice.
* Manage innovative engagement activities and interventions that form part of the Colleague Strategy with the aim of achieving TfL's ambition to be a "great place to work". This includes being responsible for employee engagement actions and campaigns and ensuring the effective, timely delivery of action plans.
* Manage pan-TfL engagement programmes and campaigns, coordinating the processes, interfaces, and hand-offs for delivery across all parts of the organisation, ensuring best practice standards are applied.
* Leading on engagement analysis and identifying trends to create reports/presentations and providing commentary, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the value chain and stakeholders to ensure the TfL Engagement Strategy (including how we measure colleague engagement) is aligned to the TfL Strategy and forms an integral part of the Colleague Strategy.
* Track and measure effective engagement activity to ensure actions and interventions are fit for purpose and meet business objectives. Engaging with stakeholders to resolve any challenges or future risks, including reputational risk.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with the communications teams from across TfL, guide and assist them where necessary to embed the TfL Engagement Strategy with key stakeholders.
* Attending and representing/deputising on behalf of the Engagement Lead, as appropriate, including engaging with senior stakeholders.

* Communication skills

* Proven track record of deploying employee engagement tools, programmes and campaigns with a measurable positive impact on employee engagement and business performance
* Excellent project management skills
Knowledge
* Significant knowledge of effective engagement strategies, interventions and techniques to improve trust, commitment and engagement
* Culturally aware, with an understanding of complex organisations and an appreciation for engagement impacts
* Able to identify engagement issues and solve problems using sound judgement and analysis, providing practical and pro-active guidance and support to colleagues across the TfL value chain; ensuring clear feedback to drive ongoing improvements in employee engagement.
Experience
* Experience of managing employee engagement activities in large organisations within a complex and highly unionised environment
* Experience of coordinating and delivering creative employee engagement solutions and campaigns to drive engagement and build trust and improve outcome
* Experience of running employee engagement projects and campaigns with measurable positive impact and return on investment
