Overview
Join to apply for the Bank Mental Health Nurse (RMN) role at Cygnet. Cygnet Hospital Oldbury is our state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for women, in the West Midlands. The service has two wards, a 12-bed PICU ward and a 15-bed Acute ward, and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment. We’re focused on length of stay and ensuring individuals move as quickly and safely as possible from our services to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment. Referrals can come from all areas, including other acute services and prison services.
Responsibilities
* Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
* Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit & improve quality
* Attend all training & engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
* Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals
* Administer medicines within healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines
Essential qualifications and qualities
* The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
* A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
* A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
* Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence
Desirable
* The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
* An interest in leadership, research & assessment
