Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in various trades, including plumbing and carpentry. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and fires.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
* Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations and repairs.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
* Carry out welding and assembly work as required.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure efficient project completion.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines while working in potentially hazardous environments.
* Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as necessary.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
* Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
* A valid driving licence is a must for transportation of equipment to various sites.
