Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a warm and supportive SEN school near Radlett, seeking a committed Autism Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time, long-term position starting in January 2026.

The Role
You will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils—primarily in Key Stage 1—with a focus on autism-specific strategies and individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with autism through structured routines, visual aids, and personalised interventions
* Delivering targeted activities in communication, literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation
* Assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction, and engagement in learning
* Creating and adapting learning resources to meet sensory and developmental needs
* Observing, recording, and feeding back on pupil progress to the class teacher
* Helping to maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with autism or additional learning needs (school-based experience desirable)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility, reliability, and a genuine passion for SEN education
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
