Role Overview
As the Materials Controller at Mitsubishi Chemicals UK, you will oversee the supply, storage and distribution of materials for the new PUMA production plant in Hull.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team responsible for material management on and off site.
* Ensure timely delivery of free issue materials in line with the project schedule.
* Act as the primary interface for site materials management.
* Control day‑to‑day materials compliance with Project Materials Procedure.
* Handle Manifests, Requisitions, Repairs, Rentals and Stockholding.
* Identify database issues to support teams, including purchasing and warehousing.
* Promote client inventory process alignment with site personnel.
* Maintain hazardous material storage and environmental protection measures.
* Distribute materials from warehouse to site according to construction requirements.
* Coordinate with site supervision to ensure correct placement of materials.
* Maintain and update temporary equipment register.
* Demonstrate commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
* Apply Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and Safety Management Systems throughout logistics processes.
* Participate in site/platform planning meetings to understand material distribution priorities.
* Inspect site to ensure materials are utilized correctly and not degraded by inadequate storage.
