Overview
They are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead their Lincoln manufacturing site. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a specialist technology facility producing complex, low-volume, high-performance electronic products. You'll have full responsibility for all operational activities - ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and delivery. Reporting into the General Manager, you'll play a key role in the senior leadership team, driving the site's contribution to the group's ambitious growth plans.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals and growth targets.
* Oversee production from materials to finished goods, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
* Manage budgets and resources to improve margins and drive operational performance.
* Lead and motivate a skilled workforce, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Drive operational excellence through process optimisation, lean initiatives, and cost reduction.
* Oversee inventory, procurement, and supplier performance to maintain effective supply chain flow.
* Track KPIs to assess site performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Contribute strategically to business planning and organisational development as part of the senior leadership team.
Qualifications / Essential experience
You are an accomplished operations leader with a background in technology, defence, or electronics manufacturing. You combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery and have a proven record of success in complex, high-precision environments.
* Senior-level leadership within manufacturing or engineering operations.
* Experience working in project-led or low-volume, high-complexity production.
* Strong understanding of quality, compliance, and safety within regulated industries.
* Proven track record of delivering performance improvements and managing change.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and budget management experience.
