Tunnel Operations Consultant In this newly created role you will work as part of a small but growing team of industry subject matter experts covering the operations, maintenance, risk and governance of Tunnels, delivering advice and support to owners and /or operators of Tunnel Infrastructure. project works / refurbishments are underway, including the specifications for each and the design and approval processes and programmes. Remit of the role will include areas such as; * Maintaining an excellent understanding of the portfolio of tunnels being supported. * Ensure all relevant tunnel regulations and standards are updated, rolled out and applied. * Maintain the suite of operational documentation for tunnels covering, emergency fire safety strategies. * Develop Minimum Operating Requirements. * Develop and update Operational and Maintenance Strategies, Manuals and Procedures * Facilitate and document Fire risk Assessments. * Collaborating with Client, Design, Engineering and Maintenance stakeholder to develop long term assett management strategies. * Schedule, chair and manage key coordination meetings including Tunnel Design, Asset Management, Safety Consultation and Emergency Planning, with internal and external stakeholders. * Review all technical queries from all stakeholders including Clients, Design Teams and Operations and Emergency Response. * Develop and maintain Operational Risk Registers. We would be delighted to hear from candidates who have a good blend of the following skills and experience; would be highly desirable for the individual to have / be: • Experience of working on Tunnel infrastructure and Operations and Maintenance schemes. • Are familiar with the operation and maintenance of highway infrastructure or similar sector would be an advantage. • Have a sound knowledge of current national, regional and local guidance/standards with regards to the fields of tunnel operations, tunnel maintenance or engineering.
