Role Description
Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer
Location: Sittingbourne
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week/every 2 weeks
The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play an important role by providing companionship to someone we support in Sittingbourne, spending time with them, visiting them in their home, and engaging in activities they enjoy. These activities may include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, arts and crafts, playing board games, or spending time in the sensory room.
Skills required:
* To be kind, empathetic, and friendly
* To have a good sense of humor, love to chat, and be a good listener
* To be punctual and reliable
* To be able to handle information in line with data protection and confidentiality procedures

To ensure the safety of the people we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references are required before confirming your role. As you will be volunteering with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and any role-specific training are also required.
