Our client isa leading UK-based Food Group, servicing the Foodservice, Retail and Wholesale sectors. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced end to end Supply Chain professional as they look to recruit a Supply Chain Manager at their site in Poole, Dorset.
TheSupplyChainManagerisresponsibleforoverseeingandoptimizingthecompletesupply chainprocess,fromdemandplanningandprocurementthroughproduction,warehousing, logistics,delivery,andcustomerfulfillment.Theroleensuresoperational efficiency,cost control,serviceexcellence andcross-functionalalignmentacrosstheentiresupplychain network.
Thispositionworksclosely withprocurement, manufacturing,sales,finance,suppliers, logisticsproviders,andcustomerstoimprovesupplychainperformance,reducerisks,and support business growth.
Key Accountabilities as Supply Chain Manager:
* Developandimplementend-to-endsupplychainstrategiesalignedwithbusiness objectives.
* Leaddemandplanning,supplyplanning,inventoryoptimization,andcapacity planning activities.
* Monitorsupplychainperformanceandidentifyopportunitiesforcontinuous improvement.
* Drivesupplychaintransformationinitiativesanddigitalizationprojects.
* Overseesourcingandprocurementactivitiestoensurematerialavailability andcost efficiency.
* Buildandmaintainstrongsupplierrelationshipsandperformancemanagement systems.
* Negotiatecontracts,pricing,andserviceagreements withsuppliersandlogistics partners.
* Coordinateproductionplanning,warehousing,transportation,anddistribution operations.
* Ensureon-timedelivery andhighcustomerservicelevels.
* Optimizeinventorylevelswhileminimizingstock outsandexcessinventory.
* Monitorlogisticscostsandimprovetransportationefficiency.
* Collaboratewithsales,finance,operations,andcustomerserviceteamstoalign supply chain activities.
* SupportSales &OperationsPlanning(S&OP)processes.
* Providesupplychaininsightstosupportbusinessdecision-making.
* Leadcross-functionalproblem-solvinginitiatives.
* AnalysesupplychainKPIsincludingOTIF,inventoryturns,forecastaccuracy,lead times, and logistics costs.
* Identify andmitigatesupplychainrisksanddisruptions.
* Ensure compliancewith companypolicies, quality standards, andregulatory requirements.
* Developbusinesscontinuityandcontingencyplans.
* Leadandmentorsupplychainteamsacrossplanning,procurement,logistics,and customer operations.
* Fosteracultureof continuousimprovementandaccountability.
* Manageperformance,training,anddevelopmentofteammembers.

The Ideal Person for the Supply Chain Manager role:
* Bachelor'sdegreeinSupplyChainManagement,Logistics,BusinessAdministration, Engineering, correlated field.
* 5-10+yearsofexperienceinsupplychain,logistics, operations, orprocurement management.
* Strongunderstandingofend-to-endsupplychainprocesses.
