Overview
We are looking for suitably qualified staff to perform the duties of a radiographic support worker; to provide support to radiologists, radiographers and to maintain smooth patient flows through the CT department and the radiology department as required.
The CT service is over four sites: King George and Queen’s which provide acute and elective scanning, and Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Hornchurch, which are elective only scanning.
Responsibilities
* Form part of a team of staff in the Imaging Department responsible for the provision of a safe, efficient, high quality service in accordance with Imaging Department and Trust protocols.
* Maintain and develop high standards of patient care amongst all users of imaging services.
* Provide support to Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers within Radiology, including preparation and tidying of rooms, care of patients, checking vital signs, IV cannulation, clerical and processing duties.
* Help to ensure smooth day-to-day running within the modality and patient pathways.
Essentials
* It is essential that you are a good communicator and a good team player.
* You must be capable of working unassisted, within a team, and following direction in organising day-to-day operations within the modality.
Organisation and Environment
We operate from two main sites – King George Hospital (KGH) in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. The department and associated centers include community and diagnostic services designed to support patient care across multiple sites.
