Your Role as a Behaviour Support Worker:
You'll work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to offer tailored support to pupils who face behavioural and emotional challenges. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups to develop emotional regulation and motivation
* De-escalating incidents calmly and professionally
* Delivering personalised behaviour interventions and mentoring
* Logging behaviour incidents and assisting with support plans
* Promoting positive attitudes and helping students re-engage with learning

Who We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for someone who:
* Is fluent in Welsh (spoken and written)
* Is confident, calm, and empathetic under pressure
* Has strong communication and de-escalation skills
* Has experience working with young people in roles like youth work, care, mentoring, or coaching
* Understands the social and emotional challenges faced by students
* Is passionate about helping learners grow both emotionally and academically
Previous school experience is not essential – transferable skills are highly valued.

* EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category)
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* Two references from recent roles
