We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer with proven experience in industrial and commercial heating and refrigeration systems to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical/electrical engineering background who thrives on solving problems, building customer relationships, and delivering high-quality service.
Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas
1. Carry out service and maintenance tasks on industrial and commercial heating and refrigeration systems, producing clear and comprehensive reports on findings.
2. Install spare parts and perform service inspections in line with established procedures.
3. Troubleshoot and investigate issues, providing detailed written documentation.
4. Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment while ensuring all required documentation is completed.
5. Travel as required for job-related purposes.
6. Maintain safe working practices at all times, adhering to company Health & Safety policies.
7. Provide ongoing feedback on market conditions to support business development.
8. Represent the company on-site with professionalism and integrity.
9. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
10. Identify service sales opportunities within the customer base and develop new business opportunities with prospective clients.
Your Profile / Qualifications
11. Mechanical/electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining machinery.
12. Proven experience in industrial and commercial heating & refrigeration (essential).
13. City & Guilds 2079 qualification (essential).
14. City & Guilds 2078 (Ammonia) preferred.
15. Strong technical expertise across a variety of machinery.
16. Logical and structured approach to fault-finding.
17. Innovative thinker and natural problem-solver.
18. Up-to-date knowledge of product/systems and industry developments.
19. Ability to build long-term customer relationships and contribute to business growth.
