New Business Developer – Consultancy Services

London – Hybrid

This is an exciting & innovative role for a new business specialist responsible for generating opportunities for a B2B consulting service. The role involves identifying and qualifying potential clients, nurturing leads, and scheduling meetings for the client’s sales team. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch or accelerate their sales career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Role responsibilities

1. Outbound Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including LinkedIn, industry databases, and online research.
2. Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on pre-defined criteria, assessing their needs and fit for our consulting services.
3. Cold Calling & Emailing: Craft compelling and personalized outreach messages (emails, LinkedIn messages, and phone calls) to engage prospects and generate interest.
4. Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives with decision-makers at target companies.
5. Lead Nurturing: Develop and execute lead nurturing campaigns to cultivate relationships with prospects and move them through the sales funnel.

Data and Reporting

1. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with management, marketing, and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process.
3. Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new opportunities.
4. Pipeline Management: Manage a pipeline of leads and track progress towards achieving monthly and quarterly targets.
5. Data Management: Maintain sales records and design reports/dashboards.

Skills Required

1. Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role working in professional services or M&A sector.
2. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
3. Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies.
4. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential clients.
6. Proven track record of increasing sales.
7. Strong research and analytical skills.
8. Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
