We are seeking an experienced Technical Service Engineer to join Safetykleen, responsible for machine repairs and preventative maintenance across Scotland and Newcastle. You will play an integral role in keeping our customers happy, reducing customer downtime, and ensuring our machines are performing at optimum efficiency. If you have an electrical qualification and mechanical qualification or experience, experienced in finding/diagnostics and field repair engineering, AND enjoy and have the flexibility of travelling with up to 3 nights away from home and outside of the UK on occasion, then this is the role for you. Responsibilities for a Technical Service Engineer Provide first response onsite technical support to repair Machine Breakdowns. Carry out part upgrade work as required. Travel to sites outside of you region and outside of the UK, as and when required (overnight stays depending on location). Take first response telephone calls from technical machine support and Branches to support remote repairs. Performing Service inspections. Perform customer preventative maintenance visits. Performing diagnostics checks and fault finding. Stock control and ordering parts where required. Support technical training days for company staff as required. Develop strong business relationships with our customers. Skills & Qualifications required. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Field Based Service Engineer. Electrical Qualification required. Strong fault finding/diagnostics and repair skills. Welding experience advantageous. Full UK Driving License. Good IT skills. Customer focused and understands the importance of service delivery. Confident with the ability to deal with all levels of management and customer. We are Safetykleen.
