🏗️ About the Role
I’m recruiting a M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established national contractor with a strong pipeline and reputation across Yorkshire and the north. You’ll play a pivotal role in the successful commercial delivery of M&E packages from tender through to final account. Working closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will ensure cost control, accurate forecasting, and value-driven outcomes.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of M&E packages, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier packages.
* Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance.
* Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management.
* Work collaboratively with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure cost efficiency.
* Support in the preparation of tenders and cost plans for upcoming opportunities
💡 About You
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
* Proven experience in mechanical and electrical building services projects.
* Excellent understanding of construction contracts (NEC, JCT).
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
