About the Role
As a Buyer at NOV, you will play a vital role within our dynamic Pumps Procurement team. This position is essential in ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain, contributing directly to our world-class operations in energy and industrial solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from issuing RFQs to managing vendor performance and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on capability, quality, and cost
* Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
* Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain supplier relationships
* Place purchase orders in compliance with company policies and ethical standards
* Track and expedite orders to meet project and operational timelines
* Support supplier qualification processes, audits, and performance evaluations
* Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and secure timely procurement
* Develop supplier KPIs and monitor cost-saving initiatives
* Lead or assist in contract negotiations with procurement leadership
* Leverage data to drive informed procurement decisions and improve outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree plus procurement experience OR relevant experience without a degree
* APICS/MCIPS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience in purchasing raw materials or machined parts is advantageous
* Proficient in ERP systems, preferably JDE
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
* Proficient in data analysis and Excel
* Capable of managing multiple priorities and cross-functional tasks
* High integrity with sound judgment and strategic mindset
